Voelkel Land Surveying, PLLC, is a family-owned and operated land surveying firm located in downtown Kerrville, Texas. The company was founded in 1972 by D.R. Voelkel, and is now operated by his sons, Don and Lee Voelkel. Also involved in the business are Aaron Yates and Vincent Voelkel, grandsons of D.R.
Lee Voelkel is the County Surveyor for Kerr County, Texas. He has served in this capacity since 1982. Generally, Mr. Voelkel is called upon by the county and the commissioners for advice and direction pertaining to matters of land surveying. Lee is a Registered Professional Land Surveyor. Lee graduated from Texas A&M University in 1976 with a Bachelor of Science in Zoology. He has two children, Katey and Vincent.
Don Voelkel is a Registered Professional Engineer, Registered Professional Land Surveyor, and is a Texas A&M University graduate from the class of 1975 with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. He has two children, Briana and Ryanne, and one grandson, Isaiah.
Aaron Yates, nephew of Don and Lee and grandson of D.R., attended Texas A&M University from 1999-2001, and graduated Summa Cum Laude from Schreiner University with a Bachelors of Business Administration in Finance in 2007. Aaron intends to obtain his professional surveying license by 2010.
